A perfect little paradise... providing a relaxing environment with magnificent views over its own vineyards to Table Mountain. The farm dates back to the first settlers in 1699. Improvements have continued to this day, resulting in a unique and enchanting beauty impossible to create without the gentle hand of time.

Positioned in the famous Stellenbosch Winelands it is the perfect base to discover the possibilities of the whole area. Cape Town is within easy reach for those essential site-seeing trips, and the International airport is only 25 minutes away. This gives the traveller the best start, or end, to their African Safari.

There are 4 acres of landscaped gardens, including a lake, a herb and English rose garden, the formal Italian garden the well kept lawns dotted with ancient oak tree, and even a small wild jungle. Should you wish to spend a relaxing afternoon on the water, feel free to make use of the dinghy.

The farm chapel, with interesting stained glass and painted frescos is a favourite and original spot for weddings and other celebrations. Other examples of Stained glass are to be found around the Cape Dutch and farm buildings.

Zandberg offers just eleven Cape Colonial cottages and two suites, all individually styled to provide space, restful decor and convenience. The views are typically over the idyllic garden or over the vineyards and lake to Table Mountain.

The Garden Cottage The bedrooms have en-suite facilities and the lounges are fitted with a television and comfortable quality furniture. Each kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, microwave, hot plates and barbecue facilities for those who wish to cater for themselves between the gourmet meals available at one of the many wonderful restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Daily maid service is provided by our friendly staff who will ensure that your cottage is always beautifully prepared and ready for your return. Laundry facilities are available and babysitting can be arranged.

With the restaurant '96 Winery Road', arrangements can be made for food to be delivered to your cottage should you wish to eat privately.
